Founded in 2018 in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo, Nyama Boxing began on a worn basketball court at Faraja School — built with limited resources but limitless determination.

 

Established by professional boxer Gaël Assumani, Nyama Boxing has grown into a competitive boxing team and promotional label training both amateur and professional fighters for provincial, national, and international competition. We also offer beginner-friendly cardio boxing classes that build strength, discipline, and confidence. Beyond the ring, Nyama organizes official boxing promotions and runs Nyama Street, a charitable initiative supporting homeless children  through mentorship and structure.
